For many years, Lori Shandle-Fox was a stand-up comic and humor writer while also struggling with lifelong anxiety and depression. For the past 23 years, she has been a practitioner of the Midwest Center’s Attacking Anxiety and Depression behavior modification program. These evidence-based coping skills have transformed her from sufferer to survivor. With her company, Laughing Is Conceivable...And Humor Heals, LLC, Lori teaches these skills in English and Spanish, in an entertaining, approachable way to organizations interested in showing their staff and employees that they have their emotional back. She especially loves working with HR people, healthcare professionals, parents, educators—in essence, putting the front-line workers for everyone else’s social and emotional wellness, first-in-line for their own.
